Questions
Answers to the ones we get most
Grouped by who's asking. If yours isn't here, ask us. A person reads every message that comes through the contact form.
Renting
How do I apply for a home?
Open the home you want from the homes page and fill in the form on that page. It goes straight to our leasing team. There's nothing to pay to apply, and applying doesn't commit you to anything.
How long until I hear back?
A person reviews every application and you'll get an answer either way. If a home is taken before we reach you, we'll say so rather than leave it open.
Do you allow pets?
It depends on the home. Each listing says whether pets are allowed. If it isn't listed, they aren't.
Residents
It's the middle of the night and something has gone badly wrong. Who do I call?
If anyone is in danger from gas, fire, flooding or a downed wire, call 911 first. For a property emergency such as no heat, no water, a burst pipe or a door that won't lock, call emergency maintenance on (336) 943-8287. For anything that can wait until morning, the office line (336) 645-3282 takes a message any hour of any day. It's an automated line, so leave your name, your address and what you need.
How do I pay rent?
From your Innago portal. It shows what's due, what you've already paid, and the date each payment landed. Pay now hands you to Innago, our trusted payments partner, to take the payment securely.
Who is Innago, and why does paying rent take me there?
Innago is the property-management platform we run the business on — it's our trusted partner for billing, leases and repairs. When you press Pay now, the portal hands you to Innago to take the payment securely; we never handle your card or bank details ourselves. Your lease is prepared and signed there too, and every repair you report here is logged there for whoever we send out. The portal shows you what Innago holds, and a refresh button on each page checks it again.
Something in my home is broken. What now?
Report it in your Innago portal. The request gets a record with a status you can see, and it stays open until the work is finished. Mark it urgent if it's water, heat, or anything unsafe. If it can't wait, call rather than filling in the form.
Where can I read my lease?
In your Innago portal, under Documents. Dates, rent, deposit and any documents we've shared with you are all there. You shouldn't have to ask us for a copy.
Living here
Who turns up when something breaks?
Us, or someone we send. There is no separate management company between you and the repair, so you are not being passed between two firms while a leak gets worse.
Do I have to be home for a repair?
Only if you want to be. When you report something you can say whether we may let ourselves in if you're out, which times suit you, and whether there's a dog who'd rather we didn't. It saves a wasted visit and a second wait.
How do I know anything is happening?
The request has a status in your Innago portal from the moment you raise it, and every note or change we make against it is on the same page. If it hasn't moved, you can see that too, which is the point.
Can I stay on when the lease ends?
Almost always, and we'd rather you did. Tell us before the end date and we'll sort the paperwork; there's no penalty for asking early.
Still stuck? Call (336) 645-3282. An automated line that takes a message any hour, or send us a message, which a person reads.
